Short Bio: I did my undergraduate studies on Applied Mathematics and Physical Sciences at the National Technical University of Athens, Greece and then pursued an MSc degree at the multi-institutional MPRI course on Research in Theoretical Computer Science in Paris. In 2014, I received my PhD jointly from the École Nationale Supérieure des Telecommunications (Telecom ParisTech) and Paris Diderot University (Paris 7); my thesis was entitled 'Multiparty Quantum Cryptographic Primitives in Realistic Environments'. Following that, I spent several years as a postdoctoral fellow at University College London, Edinburgh University and Freie University Berlin. 

I have received numerous prizes and fellowships including an Anita Borg Google fellowship, two Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships, an Alexander von Humboldt postdoctoral fellowship, as well as several smaller grants. In 2019, I was awarded a 6-year grant [3] from the German Research Foundation (DFG) via the Emmy Noether program, to establish a junior group at the Technical University Berlin. The group is part of the Institute for Software Engineering and Theoretical Computer Science and focuses on Information processing and security in near-future quantum communication networks. In 2021, I received the Hector Research Career Development Award (Hector RCD Award [4]) and became a member of the Hector Foundation.

Since 2020, I am affiliated with the Fraunhofer FOKUS Quantum group. Finally, I am a Junior Faculty member of the Berlin School of Optical Sciences and Quantum Technologies [5].
