Welcome to the research group „Gender and Diversity Management in Engineering”
In January 2012 Ms Leicht-Scholten returned to RWTH Aachen where she became Professor for "„Gender und Diversity in Egineering Sciences“.
On this website, students, business companies and everybody who deals with including heterogeneity and diversity in organisations and in the process of research and development can get a general idea about our effort in research, teaching and consulting.
Our research and consulting concentrate on both aspects. On the one hand we investigate and accompany processes of organisational development. In how far do organisations manage to attract people with recognizable potential, and develop this potential to benefit both the person and the organisation? We consider the question how organisations can frame Chance Management processes equitably. On the other hand we pursue the goal to integrate diversity perspectives in research and development processes.
By including different experiences and backgrounds in these processes we emphasize the diversity of users. Thereby at the very beginning the diversity of the users is taken into account and based on that, a final product can be developed. Including perspectives of diversity enables innovative and sustainable research and development.
